What is TAB?

TAB is the library's Teen Advisory Board! TAB's mission is to help Richland Community Library better serve the needs and interests of local teens. TAB meets on the first Friday of every month at 3 PM to brainstorm ideas and provide feedback about teen library programs, materials, and to sign up for ongoing volunteer opportunities.

What TAB Members Do

  • Help spread the word about programs and services at the library
  • Earn volunteer hours for school by assisting with events like the Summer Reading Programs, Children's Art Club, or the library's many teen programs 
  • Are active library users in order to provide feedback about programs and services
  • Share their ideas at monthly TAB meetings

TAB Membership Requirements

Members of the Richland Community Library Teen Advisory Board must:

  • Be 11-18 years old (or be in the 6th-12th grade)
  • Attend meetings on the first Friday of every month
  • Fill out the parent/guardian permission slip before volunteering (available from Erica, the Teen Librarian)

Our book drop is located in the rear parking lot of the library, which is accessible though the Richland Eye Care parking lot off of 32nd Street.
