500 Books Before Middle School
The concept is simple: read a book—any book—and record it when you’re done! Your goal is to read 500 books before you start middle school. And yes, you can repeat books you love.

Think 500 sounds like a lot? If you read just 2 books a week, you’ll reach:

  • 104 books in one year

  • 208 books in two years

  • 312 books in three years

You can join at any time before middle school and work at your own pace. Track your progress online with RCL’s Beanstack app or use paper log sheets (available online or at the Children’s Desk).

Earn rewards as you read:

  • Every 25 books = 1 entry into our annual grand prize raffle for a $25 gift card.

  • After 500 books = A backpack filled with school supplies.

How to Participate

  1. Register on Beanstack or at the Children’s Desk.

  2. Read & record your books using the Beanstack app or paper tracker.

  3. Collect rewards along the way and celebrate when you hit your goal!

Are you up for the challenge? Start today and see how many books you can read before middle school!
