Celebrate Women's History Month at RCL!

This lesson focuses on the overlooked contributions of women in the history of the automobile, from Bertha Benz to the “Damsels of Design” and the women designers of today. We also explore the little-known cross-country journey of Alice Ramsey in 1909, the first woman to travel coast-to-coast in an automobile. The geography that shaped her journey, as well as the technical and mechanical challenges she faced and overcame, is examined.
