This lesson tells the story of the US Auto Industry based in Detroit and the great change over to war time production in preparation for in involvement in WWII. We focus on the tremendous effort make in Detroit as we shifted to the building of tanks, planes, jeeps and much more. This program looks a America and our sacrifice in so many areas as gas rationing, food rationing, limits on leather goods, and even clothing were imposed during the buildup for war. Among others we learn about great men like Edsel Ford and Charlie Sorenson as they work against time to build the larges factory in the world for the production of B 24 Bombers.
