Barnes and Little Local History Room

The Barnes and Little Local History Room, located on our lower level, is one of the hidden treasures of our region. Thanks in large part to the efforts of Local Historian, Ed Schaadt, it is one of the best history rooms of its size in the state, and is well worth a visit.

Scrapbooks of news clippings from the 1970’s to the present are available, as well as Township and Village records. Although no artifacts are accepted (due to space restrictions), local and historical research materials, papers and photographs and maps documenting Richland and the surrounding area are welcome.

Local collections include Gull Lake Community Schools yearbooks, photographs and newsworthy articles on local families, as well as general files pertaining to local churches, businesses, schools and organizations.

The Barnes and Little Local History Room does not have regular hours. For more information or to schedule a visit, contact Ellen Hoyt at 629-9085 Ext. 202 or click here and send her an e-mail.
