Children's Summer Reading Program
All ages, through 5th grade will be placed in our Children's Reading Program.
Your challenge?  To read books weekly or have someone read to you weekly.
Every time you return books to the Children's Library, you will document the number of books you've read on a card by stamping or placing stickers on your card.  Make sure to write your name on your card so we can hang it from the world you colored. 
You will be able to pick out a prize each week that you've read and ruturned books during our Summer Reading Program.
Complete the activity folder for more prizes!
And of course, don't forget to join us for our family programs throughout the summer.
Teen Summer Reading Program
All children 6th grade and up will be placed in our Teen Reading Program.
Once registerd, pick up your Summer Reading Log , and make a recycled T-shirt bag.  You can do this at the Kick Off or at the library after June 23rd.

Your Challenge?  To read, read, read and log the number of hours you've read on your reading log.

For every 10 hours you log, come into the library to receive your candy-bar. Then fill in your bar in the teen room to compete with friends!

The top 3 readers will recieve a prize at the end of summer.

Summer Calendar 

Binder Park Zoo
Friday August 4th 10:30am - 11:30am
Come and see some of Binder Park Zoo’s animal ambassadors as they talk about how we can help create a better world for animals.  This program is limited to 150 children. Click here to save your spots!



 
Mini Carnival
Saturday, August 18th 9:30am - 12:30pm
Join us for our end of summer reading bash in the park!  Dunk tank, talent show, games, food, pie-eating contest and more!

Children and teens who participate in summer library programs benefit from engaging activities and opportunities which promote literacy development and help to counter the summer slide that often happens with the long summer break.  Summer library programs for all ages enhance lifelong learning and provide meaningful, enjoyable experiences available to everyone in the community.
